The challenge has changed
Children are growing up in a very different world. The pressures, influences and experiences shaping childhood have changed and schools are feeling the impact in behaviour, attendance, wellbeing, learning and connection.
The challenge is not that children care less or schools are doing less. It is that the context has changed, and our systems need to respond.
Childhood has changed, and schools are carrying more complexity than ever. Behind every behaviour, absence or moment of disconnection is a child trying to find their way through a world that asks a lot of them.
Safety gives us the foundation. When children feel secure, connected and clear about what comes next, they are better able to regulate, engage and learn. We can keep the destination ambitious while making the route more accessible so more children can belong, succeed and keep their future open.
