Improvement Partnerships

Our improvement partnerships give schools, colleges and services the space to look properly at what is happening, understand what is helping or getting in the way, and decide where change will make the biggest difference.

We work alongside your team to turn ambition into practical improvement, bringing together learning walks, leadership support, professional learning, systems and policy. The starting point is always where you are now, with support shaped around what you need next.

Learning walks & reviews

Our learning walks and reviews help leaders make sense of what is happening and decide what needs attention next. They can be highly targeted or take a broader view across behaviour, teaching and learning, interventions, support, policy and leadership.

We always walk with leaders so that we can observe and learn together. Feedback is practical, fair and sometimes difficult to hear, but we stay alongside you with compassion, clarity and support, so that you leave knowing what is working, what is getting in the way, and what to do next.

They are especially useful when something is not working, previous changes have not made enough difference, you are unsure where to focus, or you simply need an experienced external view.

What you get:

  • A review shaped around your context and priorities

  • Learning walks completed alongside leaders

  • Targeted or whole-setting insight

  • Honest feedback across practice, systems and learner experience

  • Clear strengths, priorities and indicators of what good looks like

  • Practical next steps

Designed to strengthen: clarity, consistency, inclusion and decision-making, with greater certainty about where to focus time, energy and resource next.

Strategic Partnerships

Our strategic partnerships support wide-scale change across local authorities, trusts, public health systems and other organisations. We help bring people together around a shared direction, making sure that schools, services, families and wider stakeholders can influence the work and understand their role within it.

We then support the practical work of transformation: developing people, aligning policy and practice, strengthening leadership, improving multi-agency working and helping partners navigate reform, funding and sustainability. Our aim is to leave greater capability within the system than we found, so that the work becomes increasingly owned and sustained from within.

What you get:

  • Training, implementation support and sustained capability development for staff, settings, families and young people

  • Support to shape a shared vision and align policy and practice

  • Strategic leadership support

  • Collaboration across authorities, services and partner organisations

  • Support with reform, funding, sustainability and future provision

  • Stronger multi-agency working and shared responsibility

Designed to strengthen: cohesion, clarity, belonging and sense of place across the system, with stronger outcomes for learners and families and the capability to sustain improvement over time.

Learner & Family Support

Our targeted support is for children, young people and families where need is complex and progress feels stuck. We work directly with the learner, family, and the team around the child to build a clearer picture of what is happening and strengthen the support that is already in place.

This can include attendance, trauma, safeguarding concerns, complex behaviour, or wider family need. We help bring professionals together, improve communication and make sure that plans are practical, joined-up and responsive to the child or young person in front of us.

What you get:

  • Direct work with learners and families

  • Support around attendance, trauma and complex need

  • Multi-agency collaboration and clearer shared planning

  • Safeguarding-aware, psychologically informed support

  • Bespoke resources for individual learners and their families..

  • Practical guidance for the adults around the child

  • Help to strengthen the impact of existing interventions and provision

Designed to strengthen: engagement, safety, attendance, relationships and access to support, with greater clarity and consistency around what the learner and family need next.
